There is something that I'd like to implement at QAE, but am not sure how to go about it. I am tech savvy enough to get by without embarrassing my children, too badly, and in the eyes of my inlaws I'm a "computer genius"... but I have some pretty defined limits. This is where you come in!
Last June I found a group on Twitter that would post a mathematical theme each week. Followers would take a picture of something that they felt best represented that theme, and then share it. I would LOVE to do this at QAE, but am not sure how to make the entries accessible to everyone without using Twitter or Instagram. Ideally I would like the photos to be linked/connected to this site, and in a way that they are categorized and cataloged by each week's theme.
If you have any ideas for me on how to get this idea off the ground and running, I would love to hear from you! You can either respond by commenting on this blog or directly through email.
I am also finding myself in need of a physical volunteer. Someone who would be willing to take on the tedious task of making sets of flashcards. (Yes that's right - I use old school flashcards.) The first part of this task needs to happen at school, but the second could be done at home. Again, if this is something that you wouldn't mind doing, you can contact me either through this blog or email.
I do have a 3rd idea that involves a projector and the lunch room ... but I'll save that one for later :)
I look forward to getting your responses - and don't forget -
MATH CHALLENGE #6 is due tomorrow!
