**Author's note: I wrote this post Wednesday night, before school started.
I am so excited to be seeing all of our fabulous students and families tomorrow! Our staff was in a great mood today while they were busily preparing for the start of school - finally! We are ready and happy to be doing what we love to do.
As a kick-off to the start of this new school year, I have posted a math challenge for our students. My goal is to have regular math challenges throughout the year, which will have a bit more communication and preparation involved, but I just couldn't wait ...

My "office" is upstairs in the Tree House near Mr. Bingaman's room. Students are welcome to come look at, and "crack the code" in person, or they can use this picture and email me the answer. They need to be sure to tell/show me how they solved the question(s). I will leave this challenge up until the end of next week - 9/25.
Have fun and I'll see you all tomorrow!
