What does math support at QAE look like?
I provide supplemental math instruction to students who have been identified as needing this resource either by their teacher or the Student Support Team (SST). I work with them in small groups on specific, targeted skills. This instruction is in addition to the interventions provided by their classroom teacher.

Ms. Francisco -
I started teaching a little over 20 years ago now, graduating from Western Washington University with a Special Education Major. Since then my career journey has taken me in and out of the classroom (always in the field of education), to where I am now - teaching mathematics. To be honest, I would never have dreamed that I would be a Math teacher, and really owe it all to my oldest son's Kindergarten teacher. She asked me if I'd be interested in teaching an after school math club through a local organization (now known as Zeno), and here I am!
I love teaching. I love working with students who need a little more support or more individualized instruction. I also love helping kids discover how math can be fun, interesting, and attainable. What's better than that?!
